If Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock were to opened a
bar, it would look, feel and sound like Automatic Slim's. With buxom
bartenders in skin-tight shirts, stripper poles and giant neon bowling
and trailer park signs, this one-room true locals' dive bar is less
about class and more about letting it all hang out.
Forget your Prada shoes and Cartier watch, toss on a
pair of dirty jeans and Chuck Taylors and join the model set that flocks
to one of the only venues in South Beach to feature live rock.
Slims anti-South Beach attitude (no cover, no VIP,
no bullshit) shockingly appeals to Hollywood heavy hitters like Paris
Hilton, who enjoyed the Thursday Bike Night party with free drinks for
the ladies and '80s music all night long.

Great place
for having a good time. Spent my birthday there last weekend and
certainly enjoyed the place. Rock music and a lot of party
people (not too fancy, which is rare in Miami Beach) as well as
fair prices at the bar made my day (night). |

Review:
I was only in
SoBe for one night on a quick trip from Tampa to pick up a car,
and we stumbled into this hot little gem for a few cold
libations. Our bartender was young, Latin, funky and gorgeous,
and treated us like regulars. The beer on tap was colder than
the bottles, and we had our fill while a cool little band played
rock-a-billy for the smallish crowd. If you\'re anti-club like
me, you'll love this hip little bar. It has a Pulp Fiction-esque
cool vibe that I really dug. I'll definitely go back when I
return to Miami for my next photo shoot. |

that SoBe experience mixed with a great retro
80's/punk/hip-hop... then you definitely have to go there.
Awesome kick back and chill place. If you get there before
midnight, you might secure a nice table as your home base to
mingle. Did I mention no cover? |

After going to
the Mansion this was a relief. The price of liquor was
reasonable and the staff had a good attitude. If you are
looking to kick back and have a good time without having to
spend $1,000 then this is the place. With a two story club
playing rap in one room, rock/dance in another, and 80's in
another room, you can not beat the atmosphere... I loved it and
did not venture to any other club after going here... I
recommend it completely. |

No cover? Ha,
because we didn't have girls with us the chick at the door tried
to charge us $15 to get in. According to her, "she didn't need
anymore guys in there." While waiting we saw many people "tip"
the door guy $20. From what I saw there was tons of BS at that
club. I wouldn't go back. Unless
you're a hot chick they don't want you there. Definitely not
worth the price, not worth the crap from the rude door people.
