Club Deuce had its fifteen
minutes of fame when it was selected by Miami Vice's set designers for
location shooting. Seems they needed a rough-and-tumble beer joint on South Beach for Don
Johnson and company to bust-up during one of their episodes (Hard Knocks,
1989). Club Deuce fit the bill quite
nicely, since it was obviously one of those places where preppies dare not tread. If
you're looking for a place to cry in your beer and lament the woman who done you wrong,
while CCR blares away on the jukebox, this is it. But remember, if you walk in the door
with a chip on your shoulder, you best have your Blue Cross/Blue Shield paid up.
Have you tried
Club Deuce?

Worked the
cruise lines in & out of Miami & ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS made this
the first (& sometimes only!) stop of any free night in South
Beach. It is what it is, A real bar with real people. Long
live the Deuce. x x x

If you have
ever heard Don Henley's 'Sunset Grill', then visited The Deuce,
you get the sneaking suspicion that he wrote about this place.
Drinks, music and prices are down to earth. Clientele range from
idle slumming rich to hookers taking a break. Love it, have for
23 years!

Been hanging
in the Deuce for 30 yrs, one of the original Deuce bar flys, got
tees to prove it. Have taken friends from all over there, never
had a bad time Mac and Mary are the greatest, recommend the
Deuce to anyone who wants a neighborhood bar, and you never know
who you might be drinking with. Met a lot of celebs in there.

After all the
bars close, this is where all the pretty servers, waiters,
bartenders congregate to 5 am. Talk to anyone. No pretensions.
Great looking crowd.

The place was
great. I went Saturday to watch the football game. The people
were friendly the bartender was attentive.
The TV screen was one of the best I've ever seen. They have
happy hour until 7 PM. You can't beat the prices.

If you want to
find some "real" people in South Beach, this is the place. I had
no idea this place was famous until I saw it on an episode of
Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations. We were in
Florida for a wedding a few years ago. We did the South
Beach 'scene' and it just wasn't for us. Decided to call it a
night early and found this place by accident on the way back to
the hotel. Got up the nerve to go in for "just one beer"...well,
if I remember correctly, the place
closed at 4am, we stayed 'til 6am drinking with the bartenders
after closing. I had the best time I'll never remember at the
Deuce.

Went here very

staff, especially the doorman. Had a couple of beers. Very
laidback atmosphere.

I am from
Oregon.
I went to Florida to do
disaster relief in 2004.
I was looking
for a bar that would fit our life style.
I didn't like all the other bars
because they were all preppy and stuck up
Florida posers.
I have a go-tee and I wear baggy cargo
pants and shorts and stuff like that.
When I went there I
met a girl who had tattoo's all over her, THATS WHEN I FELT AT
HOME...

It is a dive

awesome and nice. Highly recommend it. Cheap drinks, great
bartenders, and not pretentious.

I asked my

I got! I love it and stayed all night! There's actually
something fun to do in South Beach that's not retarded.

Anytime
I go down to south beach I always spend a little time at Club
Deuce. I've always felt very comfortable there. It's wonderful
if you want to get a few "shots" in you before you move on to
say a "night club." Their bourbon with
mix seems to give a real punch! More so than any other place!
Cheers!
