Rough-n-tumble rock & roll with a
South Beach VIP slant is what you'll find at Rok Bar, located next to Mynt
in the burgeoning upper Collins Avenue club district. Built on the
principle that rock & roll is one of the pillars upon which this great
country was founded (okay, that might be a stretch), Rok Bar has hit big
with the hip crowd who are always scanning the horizon for the next new
thing. And that's exactly what ex-Motley Crue thumper Tommy Lee and partner Sean Saladino have
created.
The glass and granite bar is backed by holographic renderings of
some of the hottest rock-babe groupies around, and the music covers
anything that rocks. While
getting passed the ropes is an ordeal (remember—you don't know Tommy,
and you aren't with the band), once you're in it's mondo party-time with
the best looking scenesters in town.
May we recommend Tuesday night's
"Dead Rock Star" party and a quart of Jack to start you off?
Have you tried
Rok Bar?

Rock music
meets some of the sickest house beats South Beach style! My
girlfriend and I got right in and we partied until it closed.
The music was phenomenal and the energy of the crowd was
spectacular. The bartender was a total hottie and was banging
shots with me and my girl! Rok Bar, we will be back soon!

Had to be
stared at for 5 minutes before letting me in. When we left, my
husband realized he forgot his credit card, he turned back
around and all of a sudden he was not allowed in. I had to then
step forward and one look over he was able to go back. That's
cheesy! Once inside I loved it but seriously what's with the
security.

Security was a
pain in the backside - I was allowed in, had a great time, had
to leave to meet a friend in Delano for a drink and when I came
back they claimed they didn't know me.
The second night I was completely given the cold shoulder.

I was a big
group and there was no line outside. Most of us were girls (6)
and we're pretty good looking. The bouncer was a jerk and let in
two really ugly girls. Not worth it.

This place
sucks. It is 2 feet by 2 feet. A
little shoe box with drunk, stupid people that think they are
beautiful. Music was wack, people were wack. Shut down...
