Ocean-front hotel clubs along Collins Avenue are all the rage this year and the one of the newest to hit the Beach comes to us from Jonathan Cowan, former musical director of Miami Beach's beloved Groovejet.

The club itself comprises nearly the entire ground floor of the Shelborne Hotel extending from the main lobby out onto the beautiful pool deck area. And while lounging underneath the stars in a beach-front setting might be your thing, the serious musical madness occurs in either the hip-hop room or the hotel's main ballroom.

A state of the art Steve Dash-designed sound system safely locked away from prying eyes powers the whole scene and is controlled by the world class DJs such as Frankie Knuckles that cycle through Shine on a regular basis.

Reviewer: South Beach Magazine Reader from Miami Recommended: Yes   Overall Rating: Staff: 5-Excellent Decor: 4-Good Music: 5-Excellent Vibe: 5-Excellent Review:  We've been to Shine on a few occasions.  The staff is very nice, drinks are great, and the music constantly changes depending on the guest DJ.  We were there on one occasion when Shaq, Alonzo Mourning, and Dwayne Wade were in the club.  A fun night to say the least!
