SkyBar at the Shore Club Hotel |
The L.A. version is an
absolute legend among loungers and now the Miami Beach version of Skybar, located at
the Shore Club hotel, is well on its way to reaching this same celebrated
status.
Set in the Shore Club's pool area
directly between the hotel and the beach, Skybar has a whole host of
lounging areas that satisfy even those desiring the most intimate of
surroundings.
Saturday nights are big at Skybar,
and Moroccan Nights on Thursdays are hosted by Zack Bush and Erica
Freshman. Either way, definitely be on the lookout for their specialty
cocktails—our favorite is the Passionata served in a flute with a strawberry
garnish.

Review:
I went with my
girlfriend in March and had a blast. There was no cover to get
in and the vibe was awesome. We spent almost all our time in the
Red Room because everyone there came to dance and having a great
time. Drink prices were also reasonable. I definitely recommend
Skybar.

Excellent all
the way around. The staff attentive and the drinks reasonably
priced and adequately prepared. The décor and vibe are relaxing
and the music is an eclectic mix from 80 rock to 90's pop to
00's dance. We found a lounge bed poolside and enjoyed the
stars the ocean breeze and the crowd; a nice mix of locals and
tourists. Great atmosphere. Didn't want to leave....

in March 2008 with my husband. Aside from Mangos this was our
other favorite place in Miami. It is beautiful, classy, and
relaxing. We grabbed a drink and relaxed on a bed by the pool.
We preferred Sky Bar to the Delano/Rose Bar.

Review:
This is
probably my favorite place to go in South Beach. It's great to
go after dinner - The Shore Club also has Nobu & Ago to go eat.
Skybar is so much fun and on a Friday & Saturday night, it'll be
packed until closing. The good thing about this place is its
outdoors!

Me and a
friend went on a Saturday night. It was awesome! laying on the
beds by the pool with a drink and look at the stars...for a guy
from a cold and dark Stockholm that's just fantastik! I'll going
to open a sky bar in Stockholm!!!

I've been to
the Skybar on Tuesday night, and to say I had a bad night would
be nothing. The crowd was pretty specific, not that I am
anti-gay or anything like that, but damn... It was full with gay
guys. Me and my boyfriend definitely felt uncomfortable.
However, music, décor and the atmosphere were AMAZING.... I wish
I could find those jams they were playing :) Go there, but first
find out what kind of crowd is coming :)

I loved SkyBar
Miami Beach. I was outside, lying on
the lounges by the pool. The music was GREAT, the atmosphere
was fantastic. But the drinks??? $16 for a rum and coke? I am a
drinker, and have NO problem paying for alcohol whatsoever, but
$16 per drink seems a bit excessive. Other than that, it was
fantastic, the lounges by the pool are the PERFECT place to
bring your S.O. of the moment and have a ball.
