At the west end of the mall on Lenox Avenue, a busy
cluster of tables surrounding the fountain in front
of Pottery Barn is the center of Cafe
Society on Lincoln
Road. Day and night, visitors converge at this
European style cafe for drinks, snacks and strong
espresso to fortify themselves for the rest of their
shopping. Expect to find pampered lap dogs, busy
little children dipping into the fountain, and
exhausted parents bracing themselves for the trek
back to the car and the drive back to
the 'burbs. Later in
the evening, the elite meet to gab a quick drink
before dinner, the theater, or the movies next door.
