Collins Avenue is one block off the beach between South
Pointe Drive and 15th Street, but thereafter it becomes the
street where all the top ocean-front hotels are located. It
contains many of the fine restaurants,
shopping areas and
nightlife venues that South Beach is famous—and notorious—for.
Traffic is horrendous during peak periods, but the good news
is that most places of interest are within easy walking
distance of your hotel. The exceptions are the
Fontainebleau Miami Beach and
Eden Roc hotels which are only a short cab ride, or
scenic jog on the boardwalk, away.

Best Collins Avenue Restaurants |
Choosing a Collins Avenue restaurant is not an easy task as
there are numerous fine dining establishments from the
southern tip of Collins all the way up the island. The
greatest concentration of great restaurants can be found in
close proximity to the intersection of Lincoln Road and
Collins Avenue. Naturally, a significant number of top
restaurants are located in the best South Beach hotels, so
if great cuisine is on your agenda, your choice of hotels
matters greatly.

Best Collins Avenue Nightlife |
Nightlife options abound on Collins Avenue. From the more
touristy like
Mango's Tropical Cafe, to über-VIP spots like
FDR at the Delano hotel and
Louis at the Gansevoort
hotel, there's lots to do on Collins Ave after the sun goes
down.
