Erected in 1939 as one of the beach's first tropical resorts, the Tudor recently underwent a major renovation restoring much of its original Art Deco charm. Microwaves and refrigerators are also available in some rooms upon request. But again, what the Tudor is really all about is location, location, location. Guests are only half a block from the ocean, within a short walking distance of Lincoln Road Mall, the Jackie Gleason Theater and the Miami Beach Convention Center. The on-site restaurant, the Dawg House Grill offers the typical American fare and a full bar with seating in either the hotel lobby or outside terrace. If guests are looking for a more adventurous dining experience they needn't travel far because News Café, China Grill, Tantra, B.E.D. and an array of other renowned restaurants and cafes are all in the vicinity. If you are looking to do a little shopping while in South Beach, you are in luck because designer boutiques like Intermix, Versace, Armani Exchange, Guess and Kenneth Cole are all in the neighborhood. |
