Eden Roc Hotel Miami Beach |
Miami Beach visitors have long had a love affair
with both the Eden Roc hotel and its next-door neighbor, the
Fontainebleau, since the middle 1950s when these two magnificent hotels
first hit the
scene. For decades, the mere mention of their names conjured up a sense of
Hollywood glamour, a celebrity playground where Elizabeth
Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Jayne Mansfield and scores of others came for
fun in the sun and sexy nightlife on the Collins Avenue strip.
Now, fifty years later, the Eden Roc is again ready to assume its
title as one of Miami Beach's pre-eminent destination hotels.
The legendary
ocean-front hotel designed by visionary architect Morris Lapidus in 1955,
completed a $200 million transformation which included a new
21-story, 283-room tower, a makeover for all guest rooms in the
existing tower, four infinity-edged pools and cascading waterfalls.
Sleep Guests enjoy a choice of 535 rooms and 96 luxury suites overlooking a
variety of infinity-edge swimming pools with designated adult and family
recreation areas for ultimate relaxation.

Eden Roc Oceanfront Room |
Guest rooms feel like chic living spaces appointed with flat panel TVs,
iPod docking stations, marble spa-style bathrooms and 360 degree water
views. The Eden Roc faces the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the
luxurious yachts and millionaires homes lining the IntraCoastal Waterway
to the west, so every room overlooks the glories of Miami Beach living.
While many South Beach hotels are renovated 1940s properties with small
rooms, small bathrooms and small pools, the hotels along this stretch of
Miami Beach were designed with resort living in mind. The nightclub
district at Ocean Drive is just minutes away.
Eden Roc rooms feature oversized
bathrooms, luxurious bedding, large flat-screen TVs with HDTV, iPod
docking stations, high-speed Internet access and some with a huge
balcony with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Jacuzzi.
The Eden Roc's designers have even taken into
consideration the sea turtles that sometimes mate on the white sand
beaches behind the Eden Roc. All sliding glass doors and windows have been upgraded
with "turtle glass" so that the hotel's bright
lights will not disturb their amorous adventures.
Dine Eden Roc offers a number of fine dining choices, both indoor and out.
Eden Roc's 1500 Degrees Restaurant is on par with any of
Miami's best fine dining establishments.

Chef Paula DaSilva's 1500 Degrees
Restaurant at the Eden Roc Hotel |
Chef Paula DaSilva's singular
focus on market-fresh ingredients transforms what might otherwise be a
successful steakhouse into a dining destination with seasonal farm-fresh
menus that showcase Florida's amazing produce. Enjoy a small plate,
tapas-style starter, a pristine selection from the raw bar, and amazing
grilled entrees seared to perfection at 1500 degrees. Foodies can enjoy
a three-course chef's tasting menu or pair their dinners with a variety
of fine wines.
If dining al fresco is more your thing, stop in for a bite
at the Cabana Beach Club. The eatery, formally known as Aquatica,
offers casual lunch and dinner menus consisting of salads, soup,
sandwiches (the dinner menu includes steak and seafood options) and
unobstructed views of the Miami's gorgeous sandy beaches. Happy hour and
the live entertainment that accompanies it are a must.

ELLE Spa at the Eden Roc Hotel |
Private rooftop cabanas are available for some much needed R &
R or join in group yoga, Pilates and spinning classes before relaxing in
the immersion jet bathtubs, the eucalyptus steam room and the cold
plunge pools. Spa day passes are available for registered guests and
outside visitors offering a full run of the hotel facilities. Best of
all, this fee is waived once you book a spa treatment.
Lounge Nothing says "vacation" like a tropical cocktail, swaying palms and
an ocean view. And yes (naturally), the Eden Roc has this. Nestled
just beneath the infinity-edge pools, the Waterfall Bar
serves up finger foods and a full bar with incomparable
panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean through the canopy of a rushing
waterfall.
The Eden
Roc's Great Room Bar, located in the resort's lobby, is
a circular Venetian-style bar offering tasty tipples where you can
mingle amongst tanned locals and well-traveled visitors surrounded by
the bar's gorgeous Brazilian rosewood columns.
Eden Roc, A Renaissance Beach Resort & Spa is located at 4525
Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, just a few minutes north of the
