The highly anticipated Hotel Victor on Ocean Drive
opened in 2005 when internationally-renowned, Paris-based decorator Jacques Garcia brought his exuberant talents to bear on an
ultra-luxurious, 91-room retreat in the heart of Miami. In celebration of
the opening, Sean P. Diddy Combs hosted Ocean Revolution, an exclusive
party to introduce Hotel Victor to the South Beach
community.

With a glamorous look and tropical ambience, Hotel
Victor stands apart as an oasis of chic, providing passersby with just a
hint of a provocative and seductive interior scene within. Adjacent to
Casa Casuarina—where Gianni Versace once welcomed the fashion set—Hotel Victor will capitalize on its central location, making Ocean Drive
once again Miami's hotbed of sizzle and European pizzazz.
Hotel Victor is managed by Hyatt, which has a stellar
reputation for managing five-star hotels around the world. According to
Nick Pritzker, Chairman and CEO of Hyatt Development Corporation, "This is
a unique and special opportunity for Hyatt and we are looking forward to
working with ZOM in making this the premier destination in South Beach."
Hotel Victor's intimate room design exudes the style
and sophistication of the property. Bold Design
and Sublime Service
Breaking from bare minimalism, Hotel Victor looks like
no other hotel in Miami, with Garcia's signature bold use of color,
refined architectural detailing and vibrant rich fabrics. Inviting and
opulent, the lobby has lounges on two levels: ground floor and mezzanine,
where there is a pulsing yet relaxed beach atmosphere. An exterior
courtyard and large terraces extend the "living" spaces to the balmy
outdoors.
An expert in the use of plush materials and daring
juxtapositions, Garcia created an interior that is lavish yet airy: the
perfect modern balance for an Ocean Drive location. Garcia's interior is
respectful of the simple deco lines and Asian-motif ironwork of the
original building, designed by famed "Miami Deco" architect L. Murray
Dixon.
Fine detailing and hand-crafted finishes lend a
quality of endurance to the timeless look. Lobby spaces have an air of
mystery, with a large jellyfish tank and hanging lamps designed to evoke
the translucent and mysterious creature of the sea. Interior fixtures and
fabrics come from Garcia's Paris-based studio, which has produced similar
luxe furnishings for famed Parisian hotels.
The Hotel Victor experience begins as guests enter the hotel, where
they are greeted with personalized check-in. Hotel Victor specializes in
intimate attention, seeking long-lasting relationships with guests. A
specially appointed Vibe Manager is on hand to provide guests with
information and access to all of Miami Beach's hottest restaurants and
clubs. Meticulous and seamless hospitality is provided by a highly-trained
yet friendly staff; while the look and feel of Hotel Victor is one of
unbridled luxury, a fun, warm and welcoming atmosphere will envelop all
who enter.
Glamorous Guestrooms and Breathtaking Penthouse
With only 91 guestrooms, care has been taken to ensure
that each room feels like a sumptuous retreat. While style is key, guests'
comfort and enjoyment is paramount, with indulgence favored over
austerity. Deluxe rooms are awash in luxurious fabrics and materials, with
rich, colored satin headboards and curtains, ebony-lacquered furniture,
flat screen TVs and custom weave carpeting. Bedrooms seamlessly open to
all-white marbled bathrooms with deep, dramatic bathtubs.
With views of the ocean, Pool Bungalow rooms have
private outdoor showers and terraces adjoining the pool area. The 770
square foot Ocean Suites have panoramic windows providing direct ocean
views from the living areas, and bedrooms and baths which will feature
infinity-edge tubs. The finest hotel suite in South Beach is the 4,000
square foot Penthouse, which has a separate elevator and two outdoor
terraces: one on the private rooftop and with a large outdoor hot tub with
built in speakers and an indoor/outdoor shower. The Penthouse also has 360
degree views of the Atlantic and the entire city of Miami Beach.
Sexy Outdoor Scene
The swanky interior spaces are matched by an equally
stunning outdoor pool area on the second floor level, providing direct
views of the beach below. Designed as an homage to the glamorous, shaped
watering holes of the 40s, the mosaic-tiled pool is surrounded by
Garcia-designed furniture, including oversized daybeds and cabana tents,
perfect for poolside lounging. The scene pulses at night, when the area is
transformed into a VIP lounge, with ambient music and suggestive lighting
amidst lush plantings and foliage. Located on one of the sexiest surfsides
anywhere in the world, Hotel Victor provides guests with an exclusive
beach area with specialized services and amenities.
Haute Cuisine and Sophisticated Lounging
The culturally inspired cuisine at VIX originates from
the sensual world of the legendary spice route. The creativity of Chef
James Wierzelewski perfectly complements the artistic designs of Jacques
Garcia to provide a unique dining experience. The glass-enclosed dining
room features an exhibition kitchen and large chef's table for those
guests who are in search of culinary intrigue. A sleek oval-shaped bar is
the focal point along with windows looking out to the VIX Garden Terrace.
A DJ enhances the ambiance with the perfect evening groove as the dining
transitions into a lounge with a provocative nocturnal vibe.
VUE is an exotic terrace overlooking Ocean Drive from
the second floor of the Hotel Victor. A thriving scene is generated
nightly from this outdoor venue, which features some of the most advanced
audio and visual effects in South Beach. VUE offers informal dining,
featuring exciting ceviche and satay selections.
European Spa Will Provide Heat
In order to ensure the complete relaxation of guests,
a 6,000 square foot European-style spa with seven treatment rooms
completes the feeling of warmth and pampering guests will experience
throughout the hotel. Spa V's centerpiece will be a Hammam, or Turkish
bath. Curved ceilings and ornate pillars house a large unisex steam room,
and rainwater showers and chilled towels are available. A heated marble
slab provides massaging stations perfect for exfoliation, as well as other
treatments. The spa offers signature treatments catering to a
discriminating clientele with intimate knowledge of spas the world over.
