drugging Date Raping for Dollars on Ocean DriveWe’ve been contacted by several South Beach visitors who leveled some very serious charges against an Ocean Drive restaurant — one that is notorious for its bad customer reviews.

Apparently when these patrons complained about elevated charges on their bill, the restaurant gave them a round of free drinks to defuse the situation. The kicker is that the drinks, according to these two individuals, were laced with Rohypnol, the “date-rape” drug, presumably so the customers wouldn’t remember the details of the over-charging incident. Please bring material donations for the immediate relief of Haitians who now endure the aftermath of a massive earthquake.

LEED education company, Sustainable Four, along with PrimeTime Boat Rentals at Miami Beach Marina, are sponsoring a humanitarian relief collection point at 1st Street & Alton Road starting at 6pm Wednesday night. A 26-foot truck is on hand to carry all you can give.

Here’s some feedback from a European couple on the South Beach travel experience that prospective visitors may find helpful…

First of all, thanks for your great and extremely helpful website.  We travelled from Spain to South Beach in mid-December and gleaned lots of useful information from you.

However, we feel you might like to know, or may be able to redirect our comments, about some of the frustrations europeans have in Miami.  It begins with U.S. Immigration – a far from efficient procedure, in fact, one which can be quite frightening for some people.
