KAWS vs Wynwood | On Our Radar
One of our favorite graffiti artists hit town this weekend to bring his street art indoors for a quick visit to the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin. Fans and friends will gather Saturday night, September 20 to drink and celebrate at what will surely be the first of many hipster events in the urban jungle that is the Wynwood Arts District.
Notorious for his artistic overlays to advertisements and city bus enclosures, KAWS has morphed from an invisible force to an urban legend who receives thousands of dollars to bring his street cred to mainstream brands.
Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, 194 NW 30th Street, celebrates KAWS Saturday night from 7-10pm and the exhibit runs through November 15.
