Gourmet Weekend Idea at the Mandarin Oriental Miami

azul.jpgAs the final episode of Bravo-TV’s Top Chef rolls it’s last credits and fans of the local Miami contestants weep gently into their whisks, we offer a clever idea to give you the strength to once again venture into your kitchens. While Howie and Sara and Sandee got picked off one-by-one, we wondered what we could do to regain our culinary mojo. Then a well-meaning friend suggested lunch at Azul at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Clay Conley, the celebrated Executive Chef has returned from a recent trip to Asia with more than a few new tricks up his sleeve. As an added feature at the luxurious Brickell Key hotel, guests are invited to spend an afternoon at Azul learning how to cook with Chef Clay.

In each class, students work one-on-one with the chef preparing a gourmet 3-course lunch. Using custom recipe cards and the chef’s own cooking notes, Conley guides the class through the preparation and artful presentation of every dish. As a reward for these efforts, the entire class sits down with their dishes and a flight of paired wines to enjoy a gourmet lunch at Azul - all of their own design!

A Day with Clay is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you have a passion for food and need to refine your skills to create a Top Chef style meal, book a Culinary Weekend Package at the Mandarin Oriental.
