Losing Touch | A Summer Dining Update
Fans of the Lincoln Road eatery, Touch were saddened to discover the supper-club shuttered it’s doors last week in what was described as another Miami Beach real estate scuffle. Long time Lincoln Road restaurant Pacific Time closed without notice last year in the wake of exorbitant rent hikes and a decided loss of steam in the kitchen’s evolution. Chef Jonathan Eismann recently reopened Pacific Time MidTown in the hot new Design District with a location (and a menu) that’s just steps away from Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink.
Touch announced via their website that the building housing their beautiful dining room was sold and that plans are already underway to relocate the business to the former Pacific Time spot at 915 Lincoln Road. While local foodies have complained that in South Florida a big name cut of beef trumps a big name chef, the new Touch concept will be yet another steakhouse.
Slated to open in September, the aptly-named Meat Market promises to uphold our low carb lifestyle while giving upscale carnivores a new clubhouse on some of South Beach’s most popular (and pricey) real estate.
Like sands through the hourglass, as the dining scene changes we promise to keep you in Touch…
Meat Market opens this fall at 915 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach.
