Rusty Pelican Waterfront Restaurant and Lounge on Key Biscayne has been wowing visitors with its gorgeous modern décor and great new menu since re-opening in December 2011 after a multi-million dollar five month renovation. A favorite among locals and visitors alike for lunch and dinner, the Rusty Pelican’s newly renovated lounge now offers one of South Florida’s best options for Happy Hour. Revelers can take in Miami’s skyline, while enjoying specially priced libations and delicious bar bites in a casual, chic setting perfect for unwinding with old friends and making new ones.
Recently launched, Happy Hour has already generated great buzz among South Florida’s see and be seen set, who gather in the Lounge, Mondays through Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for creative cocktails at wallet friendly prices. Also on tap, an unmatched ambiance that includes comfortable low slung sofas, great music, plenty of flat screens for watching games and friendly attentive service.
Drink prices start at $3 for select bottled beers, $5 for well drinks and featured wines, and $7 for house martinis, mojitos and margaritas. Signature cocktails were designed by nationally renowned, Miami-based cocktail gurus, Bar Lab’s Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta; known for their avant garde approach and the use of fresh ingredients, exotic herbs, spices and infusions.
Among their creations available for $9 during Happy Hour are the Strawberry Mule, Rusty Spice, Pelican Caipirinha, Biscayne Julep and The Orchard. (Full drinks list available upon request)
With a selection of delicious bar bites also priced right from $5 to $9, the eclectic menu is designed to pair perfectly with a signature cocktail or an ice cold beer. Small plates perfect for sharing include sushi rolls like the Miami and bagel rolls, lobster crudo, ahi tacos, fried calamari and crab cakes. Delicious foie gras & goat cheese empanadas, pork belly skewers and avocado fries round out the tasty list, all ideal for snacking.
As the sun sets and the lights of downtown Miami begin to shine, it’s easy to consider staying on for dinner in the elegant, but relaxed, new dining room or on the outdoor dining terrace under the stars.
