Miami Beach Polo World Cup Returns
The third time is the charm they say and this year we’re planning to spend the weekend cheering those sexy European Playboys and their beautiful polo ponies as they work their magic along the shoreline during the third annual Miami Beach Polo World Cup, April 25-27th!
Players from Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Argentina, USA, Canada and Mexico as well as 80 spectacular Argentine polo ponies will compete in three days of matches right on the sunny sands of 21st Street Beach from 2pm-5pm.
Friday afternoon, April 25th players and ponies will parade down the beach at 1:30pm to kick off the first full day of matches starting at 2pm. Grandstand tickets are on sale and there are also plenty of free vantage points to watch the action from the sidelines. Bring a beach chair, an umbrella and plenty of your favorite refreshments to cheer your favorite team!
We’ve noticed in years past how cute the riders are so we’re especially excited to announce the Friday night after party will begin at midnight at Mynt Lounge, 1921 Collins Avenue. The Blues Brothers will perform at the post-polo happy hour at 8:30 Saturday night following the Miami Project fashion event at the Setai (2009 Collins Avenue). Sunday’s closing ceremonies take place at Social at the Sagamore Hotel (1671 Collins Avenue) at 6pm.
If you want to view the matches from the official grandstands, you may purchase tickets online at www.miamipolo.com or call 1-866-468-7630. A three-day pass is $375 per person. Tickets to the Blues Brothers Concert Saturday night are $25 general admission and $250 includes dinner at the Setai.
See you there!
