ThanksGiving at the Tides Hotel in South Beach

Celebrate the season at Pietro Rota’s seaside dining room, La Marea with a Thanksgiving menu that’s sure to please every member of the family. Set amidst the elegance of the newly restored Tides Hotel, the Art Deco landmark makes diners feel like they’ve stepped back into a more genteel and streamlined era. The food, however, is as modern and edgy as the South Beach scene.

Rota starts his seasonal menu with a roasted pumpkin souffle topped with rich, Greek yogurt and locally-sourced tupelo honey. Entrees range from an herb baked black bass with scallop mousse to a grilled langoustine marinated in Italian chilies. A Florida wild turkey breast with brioche stuffing sits aside black mission fig stuffed thigh meat and seasonal veggies. Tender, slow-roasted Wagyu brisket and root vegetables rounds out the main courses. Finally, a simple cranberry and blood orange cobbler is served for dessert topped with homemade maple walnut ice cream.

The restaurant is located at 1220 Ocean Drive, South Beach and taking reservations at 305-503-3275
