Funkshion: Fashion Week Miami Beach | March 26-29
The 10th season of Funkshion: Fashion Week Miami Beach kicks-off on the sand at 8th Street and Ocean Drive on March 26th-29th, 2008, and promises to “fuse music and fashion like no other city in the world could do.” The opening ceremony on March 26th will be followed by a showcase of Jennifer Lopez’s high end line, Sweetface.
On March 27th the show moves up the beach to the Setai hotel where designers Fisico by Cristina Ferrari from Milan and Philipp Plein from Germany show their designs on a runway built directly over the Setai pool.
Other highlights in the tents on Ocean Drive are Justin Timberlake’s clothing line, William Rast, the debut of Russell Simmons new Argyle line, as well as Puma, Caroline D’ Amore, and Marithé+François Girbaud.
Closing night’s show will feature Heatherette, which chose this year to do only FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach over NY and LA’s Fashion Weeks.
