The Delano Hotel’s Meritorious Makeover
If there’s one entity in South Beach that deserves the moniker “icon,” it’s the oceanfront Delano Hotel on Collins Avenue. After more than a decade of cutting-edge parties, haute social gatherings, and legions of celebs too numerous to mention, the Delano has attained absolute star status among the continent-hopping hipsters that frequent its pool-deck and lounges.
The Delano has now undergone a makeover of merit throughout its 195 guest rooms under the watchful eye of designer Tim Andreas, who chose to maintain the hotel’s “wrapped in white” motif with added touches of color from Connemara marble and hand-felted rugs sporting just a hint of green, a color which compliments the signature green apple placed in each room shortly before a guest’s arrival.
The Delano hotel in Miami Beach is also home to Blue Door restaurant, Blue Sea Sushi Bar and the Rose Bar lounge.
