Tides Hotel Celebrates its Inaugural Year with “1936 Celebration Meals”

La Marea at the Tides HotelAnniversaries are always special, but at the Tides Hotel they’re delicious! Now that the hotel’s extensive renovations are nearing completion, Executive Chef Pietro Rota has crafted two commemorative 3-course prix fixe menus to honor the Tides opening in 1936 that guests can enjoy at just $19.36 per person at the lovely La Marea Restaurant.

Kick-off the morning on the terrace overlooking Ocean Drive with seasonal fresh fruit served with Greek yogurt and honey or organic muesli and fresh berries and bananas. Entrees include a choice of two organic eggs, rosemary roast potatoes, applewood bacon and sausage or a Florida citrus French Toast topped with caramelized bananas.

Rota’s lunchtime menu starts off with a selection of salad greens topped with black plums and cashews or a cool gazpacho with chilled veggies. A choice of penne with garlic roast prawns and cherry tomatoes or grilled chicken breast paired with an arugula salad and goat cheese croutons follows. Desserts include four homemade ice creams and sorbets.

The Tides Hotel remains one of the top destinations on Ocean Drive. Not since its heyday in the 1930s have guests so appreciated the Art Deco elegance that sets this landmark L. Murray Dixon masterpiece far above the rest. Stop by and lift a glass to one of South Beach’s Premier Properties.

La Marea at the Tides Hotel is located at 1220 Ocean Drive. Breakfast is served daily from 7am-11:30 am. Lunch starts at 11:30am through 5pm and dinner ends at 11pm. For reservations and information, call 305-604-4095
