MiamiVue | Cavalier Hotel Ocean Drive

cavalier-corner.jpgThe Cavalier Hotel on Ocean Drive was built in 1936 and designed by Roy France, who also designed such notable South Beach hotels as the National, the St. Moritz, and the Sands hotel (which stood approximately where the Loews Miami Beach is today).

Further north up the Beach, France also designed the Saxony and the Casablanca hotels.
