Van Michael Miami Salon recently braved the Miami heat to provide mini-styling sessions to American Idol hopefuls, bringing out their inner superstar. Van Michael Miami Salon was thrilled to be involved in the search for the next American Idol.

Van Michael and Garnier Fructis offered complimentary 15 minute styling sessions at the American Idol tryouts that took place at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. Thousands of talented young singers auditioned for the hit television show and hundreds of them benefited from Van Michael’s expertise in creating “superstar hair”. As well as doing touchups, eight of Van Michael Miami’s top stylists gave contestants tips and tricks on how to maintain beautiful, healthy hair even with the excessive styling that they will endure during the American Idol competition. Garnier Fructis also provided product samples so that contestants could try out their new look at home.

“We believe very strongly in Miami’s talent and we wanted to see that American Idol hopefuls got their opportunity to shine,” says Salon Director and Co-Owner, Cynthia Winston. “Having worked with many celebrities at the salon and at photo shoots, we know how important image is in giving the best first impression, especially when auditioning for an important role. The hopefuls brought their beautiful voices and we brought the beautiful hair. Together, we may have crafted the next American Idol!”

American Idol is the hit television show where real people from all over the United States compete to become the country’s newest pop star. Since its debut in the summer of 2002, American Idol has become not only an instant success, but also one of the biggest shows in American television history. The grueling competition has crowned Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks and Jordin Sparks and has grown bigger and bigger each season.
