Boom-Boom Room in Miami Beach Lives Up to its Name

gun-160.jpgA Miami Beach tourist was shot last night inside the Boom-Boom Room bar on 16th and Washington Avenue.

Eye witnesses say the bar’s bouncer had previously ejected two individuals for disorderly conduct when a few moments later a shot rang-out from a passing car, narrowly missing the bouncer who was standing outside in front the bar and striking the 22-year-old tourist in the back who was inside the bar playing pool. The incident occurred at approximately 4:15a.m. and only one shot was fired.

Eye witnesses stated that a female patron who is also a local doctor began administering first-aid to the victim as he lapsed into shock and attended the man until an ambulance arrived.

The tourist, who is from Poland, was not identified by police, and the Polish Consulate is attempting to communicate with the man’s family.

The tourist was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive the incident.

Police have yet to release descriptions of the two assailants or the car they were driving.
