Conrad Miami, the sleek downtown boutique business hotel, is getting a jump start on season with the launch of a sophisticated new gathering place for Miami professionals looking for a fabulous destination to unwind after a hard week at work. After 6, a chic new Friday night event, located on the Conrad’s spacious recently renovated rooftop pool terrace, is an elegant but relaxed venue where revelers seeking an inviting place to celebrate the week’s end can enjoy cocktails, light bites and unparalleled ambiance. Located in the heart of Brickell Avenue’s business district at 1395 Brickell Avenue, After 6 takes place every Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. into the wee hours.
The setting is magical – with an only-in-Miami vibe fueled by a stunning backdrop – the dramatic architecture of Brickell Avenue and its high rise office buildings sparkle in the night sky. Fourteen stories above the streets below, the mood at After 6 is definitely big city; but with the Miami bonus — soft breezes floating off of Biscayne Bay. Specially priced signature cocktails will change weekly and a special After 6 bar menu has been created by Conrad Miami’s culinary maestro Chef Michael Gilligan. Renowned local DJ Louis Dee spins groovy house music that follows the crowd’s mood and gets everyone up on their feet as night falls.
With abundant lounge seating, delicious cocktails and poolside bottle service available to those who reserve chic cabanas with fluttering sheer drapes, the scene is already attracting a loyal following among sophisticated revelers. Specially priced drinks ($7.00) include the Conrad’s signature nOir martini (made with Blavad vodka) and the blue martini, a new libation that is a delicious blend of Hypnotiq vodka and pineapple juice as well as a fully stocked bar including wines by the glass and Champagne. Drawing from his acclaimed Latin/Asian influenced menu at the Conrad’s spectacular 25th floor dining destination Atrio, Chef Michael Gilligan has crafted a simple menu of tasty casual options, all priced at $12. Selections include churassco skewers with chimichurri and fried plantain chips, assorted sushi including rainbow and spicy tuna rolls and a grilled turkey panini served with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, caramelized onions and blue potato chips, among other tempting choices.
