On Our Radar | Blue Door Tuesdays at the Delano
Your positive weekend energy never seems to fade if you know where to dine on South Beach. The party crowd is headed to the Blue Door Restaurant at the chic Delano Hotel where party boys Alan Roth and Tommy Pooch are hosting a Very Special Tuesday Night Party. If your schedule and budget can fit one more night on the town, grab a drink at the bar in the Delano lobby to hear Miami’s favorite DJ Irie spinning the soundtrack of the season while Blue Door guests enjoy the culinary stylings of Claude Troisgros’ French-inspired world cuisine. Designer Philippe Starck creates a magical environment with endless floor-to-ceiling draperies illuminated by the glow of a thousand white candles.
The award-winning restaurant features tropical starters like guacamole and blue crabmeat or tender, pan-seared foie gras served with crisp focaccia and a berry puree. Entrees from land and sea include a whole roast lobster in brown butter and a marinated loin of pork with a black thai risotto. Executive Chef Philippe Pinon runs a tight ship and table service and attention to detail are always a top priority. This is easily one of the most dramatic and romantic spaces in town.
If you are looking for a bit more glam on a quiet weeknight, know that the Delano is always a buzz.
Blue Door at the Delano serves breakfast daily from 7-11.30am and continues service every day until 11.30pm. Dining is available indoors and on the garden terrace where smoking is permitted in a designated area.
