On Our Radar | AERO Bar Takes Flight!
Our recent solicitation to name the area just north of South Beach caused a bit of an uproar. Having maxed out the Club Scene in SoFi and SoBe Central, clever investors have trained their entrepreneurial cross-hairs upon the district we call NoDe (uh- that would be North of the Delano AKA the big YAWN Collins Park).This weekend marks the opening salvo in the northern migration of COOL to the brand new AERO bar, a “contemporary multimedia and entertainment lounge” described by owners Tony Guerra (Living Room, Amika) and Joseph Boyd as “Alice in Wonderland meets the Jetsons.” The 5,000 square foot club will have two distinct party areas each featuring different musical formats.
The opening night party kicks off this evening with DJs Shawn Rudnik & Diaga taking turns at the decks. Saturday night’s main event features Granit & Phunk and Sandman. Sunday’s Birthday Boy, Cedric Gervais is pitching a Double Header at AERO with Patrick M before taking the entire party over the Bay to Miami to an all-night Birthday Blast on the Terrace at SPACE which lasts until 4pm Monday afternoon.
