Dynamo Cafe / 1001 Washington Avenue / Multi-taskers rejoice at the Dynamo because they get to shop and lunch at the same time. Select a few cool souvenirs while you feast upon East Indian chicken piled high on a bed of couscous. At the Wolfsonian, the art on the walls gets a bit of competition from the beautifully prepared plates.

Afternoon Action

Wolfsonian Museum / 1001 Washington Avenue / “Fashioning the Modern French Interior: Pochoir Portfolios in the 1920s” features delicate, hand-colored templates used in interior design during the Art Deco era. Explore the works of notable artists Robert Mallet-Stevens and Eileen Gray at South Beach’s unique design museum.

Cocktails

Abraxas Lounge / 407 Meridian Avenue / Off the radar and very hip, Abraxas Lounge offers good music, reasonable drink prices and a great variety of imported beers from Belgium, Canada, Europe and more. Ray Milian  hosts “Apartment 407″ parties Thursdays with drink specials, live bands and  guest DJs.

Dinner

Tap Tap / 819 Fifth Street / Escape to the islands tonight with colorful Haitian murals, strong sweet mojitos and crisp malanga fritters in cilantro sauce. One of our favorite hidden treasures on South Beach serves Caribbean cuisine to happy patrons who groove on the vibe of live music and friendly servers all night long. More Tap Tap info here

Nightlife

Chromeo @ the Fifth / 1045 5th Street / The soul-driven electro-funksters hit town tonight with a BANG! Fans of their albums, “She’s in Control” and “Fancy Footwork” will be lining up early to rock with the bad boys of Montreal tonight. www.myspace.com/chromeo

Dinner

Alta Mar / 1223 Lincoln Road / The quiet end of Lincoln Road houses one of the most popular seafood restaurants in town. Tables are few and hard to come by so call and book for a busy weekend. Before you decide, check out the daily specials and be certain you bring along someone who likes to share. Call 305-532-3061

Nightlife

Cameo / 1445 Washington Avenue / Not for the faint of heart, tonight’s world famous “Sex Party” features some pretty frisky live entertainment and DJs Shawn Rudnick and Ruen. While not a swinger’s party, this adult-themed event is sure to send shivers up your spine. www.cameomiami.com

Sunday April 20

Cocktails

Gemma / 529 Lincoln Road / Lovely open areas and a patio overlooking Lincoln Road make Gemma one of our favorite watering holes just slightly above the maddening crowd.

Dinner

Macalouso’s / 1747 Alton Road / The art of the perfect meatball stirs passions in most Italian kitchens, but many Miamians believe that Macalouso’s rolls the most tasty orbs in town. Presented with a flourish and topped with delicate ricotta cheese, these flavorful “Grandma’s Recipe” favorites go down easy with a chilled Peroni beer and a sprinkle of aged romano sprinkled on top. Mangia! It’s Sunday night…

Nightlife

Buck 15 / 707 Lincoln Lane / Art Gallery-meets-Nightclub at this tiny hipster lounge where Sunday finds the DJ spinning chill tunes and retro hits. Check out the entire collection of Homies on display and then try to grab a prime spot on the couch to prop up your feet and show off your vintage Nikes.

Have Fun!
