Miami Beach Weekend Itinerary for June 26-29

weekend5a.jpgJune came in like a Lion and out like a fire-breathing dragon. Trust us folks; it’s getting HOT out there. Luckily, Floridians are used to the sunny mornings, the wet afternoons and the breezy evenings. Plan your days accordingly and your trip will flow like the gentle tides off our coast. We are warming up to an amazing 4th of July weekend that promises to be even more explosive than usual. For now, grab a beach chair, some strong SPF and something cool and frosty to sip and we’re on our way… Here’s your itinerary for June 26-29  

 
Thursday June 26
Breakfast

Friday June 27

Saturday June 28
Breakfast

A la Folie / 516 Espanola Way / Start the day in bohemian style as the flea market unfolds at your feet while you sip a strong cafe au lait and feast on crepes both sweet and savory at this lovely French cafe. Owner Olivier Corre pays homage to his native Brittany with Breton buckwheat crepes filled with meats, cheeses or fruit and chocolate.

Lunch

Emeril’s / 1601 Collins Avenue / Put a little BAM! in your weekend at this $23 prix fixe lunch which includes a choice of peppered goat cheese salad, steamy gumbo or seafood croquettas followed by pan seared salmon, grilled top sirloin or seared chicken breast and a tempting selection of chocolate molten lava cake, passion fruit cheesecake or summer berry bread pudding.

Evening Action

Grab a friend and work your way through a lovely choice of Kobe beef tartare, iced hamachi, or the divine Kobe beef cheek ravioli followed by a round up of pan seared salmon, roast Kurobuta pork chop, organic chicken covered in shaved black truffles or an “upgrade” of Kobe and Wagyu beef for an additional $30-$80. Blue Sea / 1685 Collins Avenue / Impossible to imagine how a restaurant in the center of the hipster universe still manages to fly under the radar. Blue Sea is a fabulous sushi bar with a hip staff and a reputation for innovative presentations served with friendly efficiency. Their Miami Spice menu includes a miso soup or salad, a ceviche of diver scallops or seabass & salmon rolls, and then a choice of vegetarian, cooked or raw makis and sorbet for dessert - for just $36.

Nightlife

SET / 320 Lincoln Road / The Sundance Party starts off the night featuring Sebastien Leger along-side Stephan Luke on deck. Dance and drink in the scene knowing South Beach doesn’t get much better than this - then grab a cab and head Downtown to kick up the party just a little bit higher…
