Miami Star Search | Summer in the City

ParisSee the Stars Under $50:

If you’re visiting Miami this weekend and hope to catch a glimpse of the stars, we heartily recommend you plunk down $32 per adult to hop on the amphibious motor coaches at Duck Tours Miami to ride around for a 90-minute guided tour. The goofy drivers are very informed about Miami Arts, History, Architecture and - perhaps most important - they’ll drive past the mansions where the STARS live! If you want to stalk the celebrities on your own, you’ll need a rental car, a scooter, or a bike (and some well-muscled legs to get you over those long Miami bridges).

We’ve posted a Map to the Stars you can download and print right here:

Stars Under $100:

If a glimpse of an iron gate and a well-manicured lawn doesn’t suffice, try to book a downstairs table at Prime 112, the hopping SoFi steakhouse that seems to attract A-listers from former President Clinton to Quarterback (and SuperModel Magnet) Tom Brady to Fashion Legend Karl Lagerfeld. Sure the lobster bisque tops out at nearly $20 a bowl, but while you’re slurping up the pricey brew, you may get to watch a famous person while they eat! The tally for your dinner does not include a neck rub the morning after for all that craning and spinning to see who’s-who, but we figure the $42 New York Strip and a cold drink should put you just under a hundred if you skip dessert.

Stars Under $250:

The big news for all you folks with folding money is a guarantee to spend a few quality moments with REAL stars on Miami Beach this weekend. We’re not talking about empty driveways or distant chewing faces either… How about Miami locals Matt and Luciana Damon and their house guests Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner? For a night in the glow of Big Hollywood Celebrities, all you have to do is fork over $250 to the Barack Obama Victory Fund and you’ll receive the SECRET ADDRESS of a Generation Obama benefit Saturday Night, August 2 at 7:30pm. While there are no promises you’ll get to pitch your latest screen play to Matt and Ben, you will be in a room filled with local scenesters from the Obama-Nation. If you’ve got an extra $250 (or $1000 to get into the VIP), hit up Jessica Clark@barackobama.com for your golden ticket.

If that’s too pricey, please note that Matt Damon’s home is included in the FREE map we posted above. The choice is yours.

Happy Stalking!
