Volleypalooza 2008 in Miami Beach
This is the time of year when questions start rolling in from people laying out itineraries for their upcoming winter visit to Miami Beach, and one question that always pops-up revolves around Ocean Drive’s Volleypalooza, which this year kicks-off on February 9th and 10th, 2008.
Volleypalooza Model Volleyball Tournament, now fifteen years old, was originally a competition between local model agencies who fielded teams of…well, models…and vied for the championship over a two day weekend. It has since been expanded to include teams from Miami Beach nightclubs (among others), and it’s a great event that’s packed not only with gorgeous people competing on the beach at 10th Street, but also with great live entertainment and special events.
South Beach clubs and restaurants attract an A-list crowd to the events they produce themed around Volleypalooza, and the event’s ocean-front location across from the hottest area of Ocean Drive produces a wonderful atmosphere that’s a definite must-see for any Miami Beach visitor.
