Ago at the Shore Club
1901 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139
305.695.3226
Ago is the east-coast edition of LA's famous
Melrose Avenue restaurant that serves outstanding Italian cuisine to a
never-ending stream of celebrities. (It was also where Pulp Fiction
director Quentin Tarantino once "slapped some respect" into producer
Don Murphy of Natural Born Killers fame over some obvious
difference of opinion. With a heritage of attitude
such as that, Ago is virtually guarantees a
place in Miami Beach's future.)
The Shore Club's Ago is located in a gorgeous
indoor/outdoor setting overlooking the pool area with
the blue Atlantic just beyond. You can enter the
restaurant through the Shore Club's main lobby (straight through the
lobby, down the garden walkway, and left into Ago) and there's also an
entrance from 20th Street through Nobu Lounge.
Ago is also just steps from Sky Bar
Lounge, and for a restaurant that resides at the very epicenter of South
Beach's flash and glam scene, we must say the food and service at
Ago are both quite excellent. Will wonders never cease.

too expensive. This is my new favorite restaurant in South Beach. |

Review: The
waiters have a really bad attitude. They talk down to you as if they are
doing you a special favor. The Chef is outright nasty. For our nearly $500 dinner tab he was unwilling to add a piece of vegetable that I asked
for. Even the Valet up front is hustling you- everything is about a big
fat tip. We travel around the world and visit the finest places. As nice
as the setting is, until management has a serious talk with the
restaurant staff things will not improve. And by the way, the food was
in-edible. Stay away! Go to a place where for your money get more good
food and less Italian attitude! |

Review: Within
the past year I have visited Ago over 10 times and still want more. I
rate them highly with both service and quality of food vis-à-vis other
Italian restaurants. I enjoy going there and so does my friends and
family. Even when they discontinue a dish from the menu, they will make
it for you; now that is service. Highly recommend this restaurant. |

Review: Never
had worse Italian food. I can't believe there still in business. I had
a clam sauce that tasted like it was made with rancid oil & bad clams. I
thought it was harder for them to make it taste that bad, then to have
it taste good. Would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant! |

Review: I
had a bad experience at this restaurant. The food was good but was
served by waiters with a terrible attitude. Very expensive, $180 for a
couple with only one drink each. |

The food was perfect, the wine and the service. Just the check was so
