Escopazzo is a tour de
force in top-notch Italian dining, and a South Beach treasure best known for its cozy
Tuscan atmosphere and genuine Italian hospitality. Not a "mamas kitchen"
type Italian restaurant, Escopazzos chef Pino is famous for his sophisticated spin
on earthy Tuscan specialties.
A recent expansion to sixty seats has had no adverse affect
on Escopazzos intimate atmosphere, and were glad that getting a reservation
isnt quite the challenge it used to be.
Fluffy risotto and hand made pastas are a
specialty of the house, but less known is Pinos wizardry with meats and seafood.
Snapper
baked in a balsamic "crust" is a delectable menu mainstay, and transparent
Swordfish Carpaccio will melt in your mouth.
Review: Went
there for our anniversary and it was FANTASTIC! We got the tasting menu
with wine pairing and everything was perfect! Highly recommended!!!

Review: We
are recent 2nd-home owners in MB, and don't know the restos well yet.
Ate here with some local friends who have been devotees for years. They
made lots of disclaimers before we arrived: location, no outdoor
seating, dowdy. All true. But the outstanding food, calm ambiance, and
truly INCREDIBLE and innovative cooking beat all !
