Jerry's Famous Deli
1450 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139 305.532.8030
www.jerrysfamousdeli.com

Since Jerry's Famous Deli opened its first restaurant in 1978, owner Isaac "Ike" Starkman originally from Israel, and owner of Epicure Gourmet Market, Miami Beach and Rascal
House in Sunny Isles and Boca Raton, has successfully replicated this dining concept throughout Southern California. The company has several locations in Encino, West Hollywood, Marina del Rey, Old Pasadena, Studio City and now Miami Beach.
Starkman attributes
Jerry's popularity and success to its unique style, which combines an extensive menu of more than 700 items, ranging for traditional deli-style fare to light California cuisine, with its 24-hour service and high-energy ambiance. Jerry's defines "deli" as being all things to all people; whether
it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, nosh or midnight snack; bagels and lox, pasta or fajitas; a family outing or a business
meeting.
Jerry's Famous Deli
'round-the-clock service will appeal to everyone—from families to the business crowd, students, models,
tourist— basically any carbon-based being with an appetite. The prices are typical deli. Most sandwiches range from $6.15 for halfers to $12.75 for their FAMOUS triple-deckers. Entrees fall in the $8.95-$15.50 range. The 300 seat restaurant is open seven days a week, for
eat in, take out, delivery, or catering.

Review: Us
from UK, staying near. Wrote to them and of course did not receive a
reply, so here goes. Had an absolutely appalling meal, accompanied by
the worst service imaginable - so up themselves!! Faulty towers
personified. Overrated and over there, thankfully. Now write back to
me!! |

Review: I
was excited to eat at this landmark after living in Miami for 10 yrs.
My husband and I were very disappointed. I don't mind paying for good
food but this was not good food. The hamburger was overcooked and
modest in size for the price. The onion rings were frozen. My sandwich
came with fruit that was old. We will not got back. It was overpriced
for such poor quality food |

Review: We
went to Jerry's for brunch. and received the worst service I have ever
experienced in my life. I ordered home fries with my omelet and received
French Fries instead I was not asked before hand if I wanted the French
fries the waitress just assumed. we had to speak to the manager in order
to take away her gratuity. Overall the food wasn't GREAT.... |

Review: I
dined at Jerry's in South Beach. The atmosphere was inside was very cool
and outside mere spectacle. I have never seen so many food items on a
restaurant menu in my life. Very open inside a lot of room to hold a lot
of people. I myself was usually there in the late night early morning
crowd. My first Miami experience and Florida experience. Jerry's was
very memorable for me, it is the kind of place I would like to see here
in Dallas. There are times when I want to just get out and about and
just eat at a all hours restaurant, where the crowd is youthful and
vibrant. And it is just as much fun to check out the patrons and do some
reading. Dining outside is a whoot!
Keep your camera ready. A guy walked by
with a python around his neck while I was eating breakfast. You don't
see that everyday here in Dallas. Jerry's is great for that and the food
was very good.
The wait staff were very busy always,
but really nice folks. It would eat there again when I am in South Beach
again! or when visiting another city where Jerry's is located. Also very
clean, well kept and cordial staff. |

Review: I
know why Jerry's is famous: For the poorest service I have ever seen in
the US. At the beginning the waiter looked at us as if we were retards
and didn't pay attention to us at all.
We had to ask several times for everything (silverware, drinks, even for
the check...). We had to ask the other waiters because ours was watching
TV and spent most of his time on the phone sitting at a table in the
middle of the other customers. The gratuity already included was
probably the worst surprise after such a bad time and I swear I will
never waste my time and money there anymore. You should stop there for
the Art Deco architecture, take some pictures and then leave without
ordering anything...
...Unless you are a masochist. |

Review: Service
was horrible! Employees too busy arguing with each other or involved in
personal business to deal with customers. You would think that
customers would come first, but this is not the case here. The food was
decent, but overshadowed by the poor service. Perhaps if gratuity was
not automatically added to each check, the service would improve. |

Review: I'm
from NYC and therefore much experienced in deli. The food was good and
large in its selection. The bakery also good with again, a large
selection. THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. Employees argued who's turn it was
to seat customers, it took 40 minutes to get the food. At the bakery
counter the employ at the cash register refused to help the person
behind the counter in filling customers orders. After all she was in a
deep conversation on her cell phone. With this kind of service all
Jerry's needs is a little competition and their doors will close. |

Review: What's
up with these reviews, whether you in South-beach or in California,
Jerry's is great! You people know nothing about the history of
restaurant, or much less the kosher food. You are hamburger junks, come
on get outta here, YOU LOVE IT! Read up on the food, the history, and
then enjoy the ambience of the great food! |

Review: My
husband and I were visiting South Beach and after hearing about Jerry's,
decided to try it. We were surprised at the amount of items on the menu
(we heard there were 700 items to choose from). We chose to order the NY
style pizza - it was excellent. Also ordered salads and salad dressing
was really good also-seemed very fresh. It was a bit expensive for what
we are used to, however it is South Beach, what else is to be expected??
The waitress was friendly and prompt. Our overall experience was good
-we would visit again. |

Review: Stopped
in for a snack just before 11 pm. Ordered but didn't get food (just
breadsticks!) until 12:10 pm. Even though the menu said they were
"baked with olive oil and parmesan cheese" we were told we had to ask
for them that way so what we got were plain breadsticks, nothing more
than pizza dough. We complained to the manager
about the length of time it took and he agreed
with us. He offered to give us a cocktail (we declined). So then he
said we could come the next night (after 10 pm) and he'd give us a free
dinner. No thanks. |

Review: Totally
feels like you're in NYC. The service is not
friendly, the food is over priced, but good. But it's Miami Beach, what
else can be expected. The menu selection is
HUGE, so definitely something for everyone. |

Review: I
really wanted a good corned beef sandwich and I read all of the negative
reviews and decided NOT to go to Jerry's. Then 2 nights later as I
walked past Jerry's Deli, I decided to give it a try. At 11pm, it was
not busy. I was escorted to a table and waited 10 minutes while the
waitress was indulged in a personal conversation with a customer. After
another 5 minutes, I went up to her and asked if she would take my
order. She looked at me as though I was from Mars and said, "Can't you
see I am having a conversation?" I LEFT AND SWORE NEVER TO RETURN. The
other reviews about the rude staff are obviously correct. I asked to
speak with the manager and when I told him
what happened he just looked at me and said, "that's
not good." No apology....NOTHING! Stay away from this place. |

Review: We
ordered chicken wings and chocolate cake. The cake tasted like it had
been standing on the counter for at least a day. The wings were
overcooked and when we took a bite, the oil came pouring out. The waiter
(Juan) was very rude, we couldn't get him to come to us. Finally, when
we asked for the check, he threw the check and the pen at us. I wrote in
the check "Awful service, worse food", he turned around and said to us
"don't ever come back ever". Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. |
