The South Beach fine dining scene is the ultimate reflection of our fickle hearts which beat a little faster for a new contender, and are never quite satisfied with the reigning heavyweight champ.

For those of us who spend our time casting about for the next shiny new thing that sparkles, there is Kane Steakhouse, a chic and sexy SoFi dining spot that is the fortunate progeny of restaurateur Mathew Glazer's union with South Beach's nightclub gurus Roman Jones and Justin Levine. Teeming with all of that culinary firepower, it's no wonder Kane has already come out swinging!

The South of Fifth Street District is no place for sissies so restaurants that can't make the grade are quickly lost. With such heavyweight neighbors as Prime 112, De Rodriguez Ocean, Joe's Stone Crab and Vic & Angelo's vying for dining dollars nearby, Kane's recipe for success includes the one-two punch of Chef Daniel Ganem's dazzling menu and Francois Frossard's sophisticated interior design. Highlighted by an illuminated white onyx bar, the restaurant's seductive mix of smooth river rocks and cool grey pecky cypress walls sets the stage for premium cuts of beef, tender racks of lamb and Chef Ganem's special whole chicken for two - which he expertly debones and stuffs with bacon, stilton cheese and fresh spinach.

Start the evening with a house signature cocktail like the Cool as a Cucumber; a frosty mix of gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and sliced cukes. Oenophiles will marvel at the well-edited selection of fine wines while foodies get to know the chef just a wee bit better with his gratis amuse bouche. Starters of crisp cod dumplings, roast Berkshire bacon and crisp Kane salad are no match for the duck fat potato chips served with decadent gorgonzola cheese fondue - a dish that's destined to become Kane's secret weapon.

Combining great food, good looks and an impressive roster of talented guys dedicated to making every meal a winner, we're confident Kane Steakhouse will knock you out!
