On a quiet little road just off 41st
stands La Brioche Doree, a French bakery that serves up a
daily fix for carb junkies and Francophiles like us. Wander by in the
wee hours of the a.m. and you’re sure to smell the baguettes in the
oven.
Everything from jumbo,
crispy-on-the-outside almond croissants to buttery sweet breakfast
brioche can be found here, plus a generous assortment of tortes,
Napoleons and fruit tartelettes.
Lunchtime brings a rush of ladies, who
sit at the tiny bistro tables to enjoy simple salades Nicoise and café
au laits. Doors close daily at 4pm, sometimes earlier--whenever the last
loaf of bread is sold.

changed everything! and i'm very happy with that))) very good food,
pastry, coffee....yummi))) nice and fast service. cool design. i was
ordering cakes for my BD and they were awesome i would recommend it)
