For fans of Mexican fare who
determine a restaurant's worth strictly on the basis of
HOTNESS - say hello to Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar South Beach. With
successful cantinas (in not exactly naughty by nature
Boston and Connecticut), this R-Rated dining saloon
makes it's debut at the former Nemo Restaurant space in
the burgeoning SoFi / South of Fifth Street dining
district. Reports of a two-hour wait for tables at the
Boston location aside, this fledgling hot spot offers
guests a decidedly sexy red velvet interior and a
promising Tex-Mex menu that's advertised as a
"burlesque-inspired Mexican dining experience."
If dining in a Mexican bordello is
your thing, enjoy a quick bite of ahi tuna tostadas or
crisp corn meal battered oysters served in their shells
with a few rounds of premium tequila-charged cocktails
or a full meal including chili rubbed short rib nachos,
lobster enchiladas, garlic lime chicken and Florida
shrimp ajillo. Lolita offers freshly squeezed lime juice
in their potent margarita pitchers and a full roster of
120 top tequila pours from Partida Elegante, Gran
Patron, and El Tesoro Annversario. Guests who know a lot
about the hip Mexican sip can select shots of their
favorite brands priced from ten to a hundred American
bucks (that's just over 1,332 pesos for a shot of
Herradura)!
The 250 seat restaurant sports
flocked red velvet walls, sparkling chandeliers, a sexy
waitstaff and a classic rock soundtrack determined to
evoke memories of your favorite college parties.
Surrounded by some of the city's hottest nightclubs,
Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar's party patio will keep
things rocking until 5am Fridays and Saturdays creating
a seductive attitude and a contagious energy that will
keep guests coming back for more!
