Innovative chef Michael Schwartz has been packing ‘em into his super successful Nemo since day one, over six years ago. Most popular among townies for the eclectic seafood-based menu, clever outdoorsy design, and that south of 5th Street ease of parking. Out of towners flock to Nemo for a glimpse of that signature South Beach laid back sophistication, countless raw bar selections and intensely flavored international seafood creations, unparalleled in Miami. Reserve a table under the large oak that is central to Nemo’s patio. Breathe in the aromatic tropical breezes that drift in off the ocean. Or grab a stool inside at the kitchen bar, where patrons are invited cohort with the cooks. Sample from a meticulously selected smattering of boutique American vintages. And don’t skip pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith’s renowned sweet finales. Try anything chocolate.

Review:  Recently enjoyed a lovely Sunday Brunch while visiting Family.  The 9 of us were ushered into a palate pleasing frenzy with the array of choices; there was something for everyone.  Although this trendy spot was quite busy, we did not feel rushed.  The only challenge we had was that one of our non red meat eating members asked to have turkey and cheese instead of ham and cheese in his omelet and was flatly refused, without apology.  That kind of upset the mood for a moment, but we recovered.  I would return for another mouth watering feast whenever I find myself in the area.

Review:  First of all, it is significantly more expensive than I was led to believe by different reviews. 2 cocktails, 2 soft drinks and 2 entrees (no appetizers) cost us $130. I don't like restroom attendants so that was a huge minus. Music was nice and trendy at first but turned muzak like later on. Server had no clue, busboys were borderline brutes. Food was good albeit a bit dry. Ambience is nice. I got a weird vibe at this place. Can't really place it. Will not return, but can't say I don't recommend it.

Review:  Nemo was a fantastic experience. We were especially impressed by the wait-staff. They were very knowledgeable and met every single one of our requests with a smile. The food was very creative and delicious - especially the Seas Bass and the Key Lime Soufflé. A little on the expensive side, but worth every penny.
