In the decade-long renaissance that has transformed South Beach into a global metaphor for the good life, no factor has been more important than the revitalization of fabled Lincoln Road, known decades ago as "the Fifth Avenue of the South." And as Lincoln Road has blossomed and evolved, no factor has been more important than the 1998 arrival of Nexxt Cafe, one of the first national franchises to rise up from what had previously been a bohemian landscape of funky local stores and restaurants.

Nexxt proprietor Bo Onur showed vision and courage when he opened his bustling 130-table European-style sidewalk cafe at the intersection of Euclid Avenue, opposite Euclid Circle, where Roller-bladers and skateboarders seem almost as commonplace as pedestrians. At Nexxt Cafe, a retro coffee shop ambience meets cool postmodern architecture in a sleek, savvy monument to people-watching and leisurely discourse. And the passersby here are not just any people -- we're talking models, media moguls and movie stars. 

When it comes to food, Nexxt Cafe offers a vast array of reasonably-priced choices in a menu that reads like a magazine. Asian-influenced dishes co-mingle happily with hefty salads, fresh seafood and good old American favorites including scrumptious sandwiches. But no matter what you eat, save room for one of the delectable fresh French pastries Nexxt concocts daily.

I cant remember what it was called, but there was an amazing chicken starter thing where the southern chicken was wrapped in a tortilla or something like that!!! It was sooooo good!!!!

However I keep giving it the benefit of doubt and keep going back because the menu, portions, ambiance and value for money are great but they take too long to bring your drinks, appetizers, main dishes, etc and usually screw at least one of the orders up in the process. You have to keep asking for what you ordered/requested. I think that they need new management for sure, and the staff better training/supervision as they are arrogant. Making you feel like they are doing you a favor and seem to forget that you pay their wages.  My last visit at the weekend will be the last. We had a table of five at 3pm, whilst the restaurant was quiet (by Nexxt standards), the staff made us play musical chairs and switch tables for half an hour and then when eventually got the table it took forever.  Two tables next to us, a five and a four came after us and both ate and paid before we had even received our appetizers! (we didn't even have anything difficult) Please don't think I'm just whining try the restaurant for yourself, it's in a great location, but whilst walking down Lincoln check out some of the other restaurants, because there are loads of other great places to eat.

The outside seating was pretty close and crowded, but the candle-lit tables were nice. The food was awesome! You will not be able to finish your plate, you get soooo much food! The price runs about $15 a plate and the drinks are about ten each. I highly recommend this place for dinner! Were going back this week.

We did Nexxt Cafe four times during our last visit and loved it. This cafe has one of the best locations in Miami Beach. It's on Lincoln Road outdoors under the palms, and gives a great opportunity to watch the passing parade of people. Food is also really good and they have a huge selection to choose from.

The salads are HUGE and very tasty. The drinks were fun, just what you would expect from an outdoor cafe on Lincoln Road. All this said, if you want to experience Nexxt Cafe just know that they are super busy and you'll probably have to wait for a table and your drinks (order two at a time, it helps with all the waiting). But, since it's in such a great setting, no one seems to mind waiting. Everyone sitting around us was having fun and the feeling was quite contagious. Would absolutely say give the place a try.
