Midtown, the Design District welcomes Sra. Martinez, a modern tapas bar
Michelle Bernstein dreamed up while spinning all those magic little
dishes at Michy's. Martinez is her married name and it's obvious she's
wed to the concept of building your own dinners from a vast array of
small plates on the "Frio and Caliente" menu.
Tucked away in a retro post office (formerly Domo Japones), the dining
room stirs with lookie-loos who strain to see what other tables have
ordered. From roast piquillo peppers to grilled octopus, the restaurant
