STK Miami |
New South Beach steakhouses seem to pop up on every street corner, so to
distinguish one from the herd you'll need distinctive décor (check),
exceedingly good service (check), a great looking crowd (check)
and a menu with some fine looking trump cards to support the perfectly
seared prime beef (check and Check Please!).
New York's STK Miami took a long time to get here but the end result is surely
worth the wait for scene seeking foodies looking for a nightclub
atmosphere and a sizzling plate of Grade A goodness. Stop by and meet
the mixologist, check out the vibe at Coco de Ville and then settle in
for steaks, mac & cheese, truffled fries and corn bread pudding.
Check out the list of signature drinks and approach the Pink Elephant
with extreme caution. Order a few Little Big Macs - Kobe sliders that
put the gold in the golden arches and after your meal, slip into Coco's
and see where the night takes you... A DJ spins in the dining room so do
not expect quiet romantic conversation or hope to pop the question in
the middle of the scene. If you want to impress your friends or
celebrate a special event - this is the place!

Review: Well,
let's start with the food - best bone-in filet I've ever had, and I
dined with 6 other people who raved about their food too. Just
spectacular food, perfectly prepared. As for this experience at 58-60
years old, we were about 20 years older than this packed restaurant.
That, I thought, given the hefty prices here would have an older crowd.
It looked a lot like an amazing, high end pick up bar as that is
integrated into the body of the restaurant. The staff was excellent
except for one thing. The staff did a poor job of busing, constantly
picking up plates that weren't ready. Be prepared for a steep bill at
$125 per person for a group that wasn't drinking that much. That's a
lot, but still get a recommendation. |

Review: I
couldn't believe the food! The atmosphere is a usual high class style,
but the food is all you need to be there for. The service was great and
so hospitable. Top notch all around. |
