Since opening in 1998, The Hotel on Miami Beach and its Wish restaurant have remained two of Miami Beach’s hottest destinations, drawing popular acclaim and a steady stream of media accolades.
Now, the hotel has launched a chic new rooftop oasis designed by Todd Oldham, which offers breathtaking views of the ocean and Miami Beach’s skyline framed against beautiful sunsets. Spire Bar & Lounge offers an elegant and comfortable alternative to Miami Beach’s nightlife scene not to mention a fabulous new amenity for hotel guests. Spire's invitation-only preview was filmed by The Travel Channel for an episode of its hit show, Best of the Beaches, slated to air March 2005. Beneath the glow of the hotel’s historic Tiffany spire, guests will find the perfect spot for drinks before or after dinner and intimate soirees. Spire Bar & Lounge features a special drink menu, offering classic cocktails, top-tier champagnes, ports, and the hotel’s signature electronic martinis, including the new electronic champagne mojito, available exclusively at Spire Bar.
Also available is a tapas menu, created by Michael Bloise, executive chef of Wish. Offerings, priced from $11-$27, include a grilled skirt steak spring roll, skewered shrimp, domestic and imported cheeses and an innovative antipasto platter with Chinese sausage, Calabrese salami, and olives. If desserts suit your fancy, the Spire is the perfect place to relax and indulge. Private parties with creative one-of-a-kind menus from Wish are also offered. The design of Spire Bar & Lounge displays Todd Oldham’s casual elegance and fun-filled signature style. High tops, tables and canvas-covered, overstuffed sofas and chairs are solid white, accented with handmade orange and pink woven ribbon pillows. Sheer white fabric, stirred by the ocean breezes, hangs from the rooftop’s main wall. The flooring consists of planks of wood, painted in bright red, orange and white. Coming on the heels of Spire Bar’s opening will be the launch of new Spire apparel, sold exclusively at The Hotel’s boutique, which also offers an exclusive line of signature Oldham-designed items, from colorful pillows and charger plates to hand bags and beach towels. Spire Bar & Lounge is located rooftop at The Hotel, 801 Collins Avenue on Miami Beach. It is available for private parties and open to the public, Thursday-Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Municipal and valet parking are available.
